Managing your subscription
You can change or cancel your plan at any time directly from the Guara Cloud dashboard.
Upgrading
When you upgrade to a higher plan (for example, from Pro to Business), the change is immediate:
- Go to Billing in the dashboard.
- Select the new plan you want.
- Confirm the change.
Stripe automatically calculates the prorated amount. You receive a credit for the unused portion of the current plan and are charged proportionally for the new plan.
Example: If you are on Pro (R$49/mo) and upgrade to Business (R$199/mo) halfway through the cycle, Stripe charges approximately R$75 (half of Business minus the ~R$24.50 Pro credit).
After the upgrade, your resource limits are updated immediately — you can use more CPU, RAM, and create more projects right away.
Downgrading
Downgrading works differently from upgrading:
- The change only takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. You keep the current plan’s resources until the next invoice.
- Before downgrading, check that your current usage fits within the new plan’s limits. If you are using 3 projects and want to switch to Hobby (limit of 1 project), the system will reject the downgrade.
- If the downgrade is rejected, the dashboard shows which resources need to be reduced (for example, deleting extra projects or services).
What happens to your services
- On upgrade: your services keep running normally. The new limits are applied immediately.
- On downgrade: your services keep running with the current limits until the end of the cycle. At renewal, the new limits take effect.
In no case are your running services interrupted by a plan change.
Canceling your subscription
To cancel your subscription:
- Go to Billing in the dashboard.
- Click Cancel subscription.
- Confirm the cancellation.
The cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Until then, you keep full access to your plan.
After the cycle ends:
- You will not be able to create new projects, deploy, or scale services.
- Your existing services will be restricted.
- To use the platform again, you will need to subscribe to a new plan.
Stripe customer portal
To manage your payment method (update card, view invoices, etc.), you can access the Stripe Customer Portal directly from the dashboard. The portal allows you to:
- Update your registered credit card
- View and download past invoices
- Manage billing information
